existed & still existon between the Strants. and India respecting the maintenance in the Straits of Indian convicts. That the Indien Goot shout hear the whole expense of the maintenance of their convicts, and were to be credited with the Actical carnings the Convicts from private work; while the Colony bore the cost of Supervision. medical attendance, and Military Guards; as a fer contra to the value of the labon of the convicts on public works.
